Day at the Circus
, 08 04th, 2008We spent the day at the circus today. Photos to come. Also, Jake and Dylan got new skateboards today. If I can salvage the photos, I’ll post those, too.
Angels Game with Ken Norton
, 07 25th, 2008It was a real treat to spend the day at the Angels game with several friends, including our special guests Ken Norton and his special lady, Rose.
For the nine people on the planet who don’t know who Ken Norton is, he is the former heavyweight champion of the world. He broke Mohammed Ali’s jaw to take the heavyweight title. He is also one heck of a nice guy. He’s humble to the core and has a great sense of humor.
As you can see from the picture, we had great seats. We hosted everyone in our firm’s dugout suite right behind home plate. Honestly, there is no better way to watch a game – period. From the incredible parking spot to the catered food, everything is first class. I’m still buzzing about it a day later.
Of course, it didn’t hurt that the Angels won the game. With 25 runs scored by both teams, we definitely got our money’s worth. This was no pitchers’ duel. (It looked more like batting practice, to be honest.) I caught the picture of the day when Jeff Mathis hit the go-ahead grand slam. If you look closely, you can see the ball just under the scoreboard on the left.

I’m really looking forward to doing this again!
Angels Game
, 07 23rd, 2008I’m looking forward to the Angels game today. It will probably be the only game I’ll make it to this year. With all the changes at the firm, we just don’t have time.
But, today, we are hosting an event in the firm’s luxury dugout suite. There is really no better way to watch the game. We’ve invited several friends of the firm, including one former heavyweight champion boxer who shall remain nameless because he can beat me up.
I’ll post pictures of the game and the event later.
Spending a Day at the Beach
, 07 14th, 2008We took the whole family to the beach yesterday. Here we are in the middle of July, and we’re just now getting our first beach day! Of course, there was the obligatory sand castle building…

The twins had fun together.

Dylan also had fun standing on a bucket and watching the waves come in…

Which got considerably more interesting when the waves actually did come in.

Afterwards, we went to the Fun Zone for lunch and some play time. Josh had a blast getting some air time on the jumper. (That’s also where I took the picture of the boys at the top of the site.)

OK, so now it feels like summer!
My Dad…
, 07 11th, 2008My dad is getting a PET scan today. He has Stage IV cancer and severe emphysema, and has been fighting this thing for years. He tried a new form of chemo, and we’re hopeful that it may work this time.
That’s dad on the Fourth of July – We think he’s trying to be a spokesman for Tommy Bahamas.
Fourth of July
, 07 11th, 2008Here’s a (fuzzy) picture of the “Fam.”

I’m really happy this works, so I’ll go ahead and post a picture of the fireworks from Fourth of July…
Pretty good, eh?
First Post
, 07 11th, 2008Well, it appears that there is no longer a need to have a law firm website here at Hiersekorn.com. After all, the Hiersekorn Law Firm that was hosted here has been closed for more than a year. In May 2007, we formed Hiersekorn Briones LLP. Then, in May 2008, we grew again and formed Red Hill Law Group, PC. We were even slick in deciding not to put our name on the firm. After three names in three years, we didn’t want to put ourselves in a position to have to change names again if we added another lawyer down the road. So, Red Hill Law Group was chosen as a permanent name.
So, I finally get to do what I’ve wanted to do all along, which is turn Hiersekorn.com into a website dedicated to my family. We’ll see how this shakes out over time, but I’m really looking forward to the journey.
